After downloading the above file, extract it. You will see two folders named with “Files” and “RUNME.bat”.
Now execute the “Runme.bat” (do not run as administrator).
Follow the instructions as shown on cmd screen as shown below.

Commands to enter into shell are, type the following commands one by one as per screen instruction.

cd /data/local/tmp
chmod 777 doomed
./doomed

As soon as script is finished execution, reboot your device.

What will you get ?

It will rot your device using the pref_event exploit.
Install BusyBox.
Install SU files.

It’s done now you can easily root your Xperia S, SP and Z running on latest Jelly Bean firmware. Many thanks to legendary DooMLoRD for making out this script 🙂

  try type cd/ and enter, then just continue
  with the cd/ xxxx part and so on.

Hi, I installed doomlord’s ftf and tried rooting my xperia sl. It either gets stuck up at waiting for device or returns an error message ‘adb files out of date… killing’. Where am I going wrong. Please guide me.

I tried Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry_v30 and I get the same problems as above.

eroot doesn’t go beyond the initial screen. Though I have rooted a couple of my other android devices before with the help of online instructions, rooting the SL seems to be a hard task for me.

I am never able to enter recovery mode either.

Please Please help me with this process.

    Hi Anurag, I did try as mentioned in the instructions. While I can install the pre-rooted rom on my Xperia SL, I cannot root the mobile with .211 (downloaded from https://www.gizmobolt.com/2013/06/20/how-to-flash-xperia-s-sl-jelly-bean-6-2-b-0-211-world-india-ftf-file/) installed. Whenever I try that it stops in ‘Waiting for Device’.
    
    I keep trying again and again it is either ‘Waiting for Device’ or ‘ADB out of Date…. Killing’. I have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled ADB Files for Xperia SL.
    
    When I go to Device Manager on Windows, my phone is detected as Samsung Android Phone. Could this be the problem? I used Windows 7 64 Bit.
    
    I have never seen my phone displayed as Sony in Device Manager. Would it be possible that if my phone is detected as Sony, the Rooting Toolkit would work.
    
    Can you suggest if there is a workaround for this or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance.

      I suggest you that it’s problem with the device detection.
      Download the flashtool and from drivers folders please install the “drivers for your phone” and the latest adb drivers.

        Manually uninstalled everything that was under samsung, manually installed sony drivers. Still no luck. I think I will go back to pre-rooted, Xperia S ROM of Doomlord. This never seems to work!!! Thanks for the all the help.

  Well there is nothing like to be posted, you should have jb .211 running. Connect phone to pc > now enable unkown sources option and enable debugging > now run DooMLoRD kit v 14 > follow the on screen instructions > type 3 commands as shown on screen and done phone rooted on reboot.

Hi Anurag,

i am trying to update jelly bean to my sony xperia sl.I had previously rooted the device.Now when i tried to copy the update.zip file to sdcard and flash.Its erroring out saying “installation aborted”…in file its searching for getprop( product device= lt26i) error in sd card zip file status 7”
i had downloaded and tried with bith zip files. “LT26-DooMLoRD-JB_211-prerooted.zip” and “LT26i_DooMLoRD_leak-JB-197.zip”.but its working for xperia sl. what to do on this please reply back is it only for xperia s and where do i find for xperia sl device. thanks

    Please read the whole post before reporting.
    Use v15 or 16.
    It is working for every device listed, have rooted xsl 100 times by this method.
    
    Use v16 kit and follow the onscreen instructions.
    connect phone to pc
    enable unknown sources option
    enable usb debugging
    make display of screen till 10 minutes
    no run the file given in kit on your pc
    Follow on screen instructions
    phone reboots, disconnect it…phone rooted.

  if you want to unroot your Acro S…then you need to flash the stock firmware again…no unrooting method is available till now.

  Download V16 Rooting Kit > Run it on your PC > Follow the On screen instructions > Phone Rooted- It’s simple 🙂 Why are you people making it so difficult, i don’t know…Mentioned so many times in post just download the kit and run it.

  Video Link for Xperia SL on Jb .200 ? What does that actually mean, you need live JB .200 running on XS video ? Well that’s an old firmware and new firmware was rolled with in 8 days JB .211 so no video available.

will v16 work on my experia z c6603 with version 4.2.2 build no 10.3.A.0.423 am asking because it lists Xperia ZL C6503 is 10.3.A.0.423 and wanted to be sure before I make a costly mistake Thanks in advance

  yes V16 works…to be on more safe side by visiting DooMLoRD’s XDA thread, you can also use v17.
