PROBLEMS in  Xperia S LT26i / SL Lt26ii Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 firmware

  • Video capturing in 1080p is lagging very badly 🙁 The video capturing frame is not steady at all. Auto-focus is very bad in video capturing.  Frame rate reduced to 18frames /second. Data rate and total bit rate also reduced. Check the comparison of 1080p HD videos in Xperia SL Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 firmware and Android 4.0.4 ICS firmware

Poor Quality of 1080p HD Videos in Xperia SL LT26ii 6.2.B.0.200 jelly bean firmware

  • Battery DRAIN is very severe on my Xperia SL LT26ii. Very bad it is actually.
  • As soon as I updated Xperia SL, now Wi-Fi connects but not able to surf neither any downloading is starting, the same case is there with the mobile data. Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 firmware has very bad CONNECTIVITY ISSUES 🙁

How to Solve Wi-Fi and Mobile Data Connectivity Problem / Issue in Xperia S, SL , Acro S Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 firmware ?

As I mentioned above about the Wi-Fi connectivity and mobile data connectivity issue in the firmware update, here is a solution. What you are facing actually is this that Wi-Fi connects but you are not able to surf anything and same is the case with mobile data. I also got the Error 927 in Google Play when I was updating any app via connecting Wi-Fi and mobile data. Also tried downloading the internet and MMS settings for the phone but unable to do so. After re-updating the software 3 times via SUS I found no improvement in the connectivity issues. What did I do ? I repaired my Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 firmware again on Xperia SL LT26ii (India region) again by PC Companion. And it has solved my problem. Now my Xperia SL Connects very smoothly with the Wi-Fi and mobile data. Though the mobile data speed is a bit slow in both 2G and 3G mode, it may be due to any firmware bug. Lag in 1080p video capturing has also been resolved to greater extent but it is there still 🙁 Try repairing you Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 firmware on your phone via PC Companion and see if the issue is still there if you still see the issue do let us know.

How to Solve Error unfortunetly coms.google.process.gapps has stopped working in Xperia S, SL , Acro S Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 firmware ?

I am very often getting this error “unfortunetly coms.google.process.gapps has stopped working” on my Xperia SL after the Jelly Bean 6.2.B.0.200 update so to resolve this got to settings > Apps > All apps > Tap on menu button > Choose “Reset App preferences” > Click on Reset Apps, now reboot your phone again. The issue should have been resolved now 🙂 If you have got the update in your region, please post your reviews in the comment section regarding this update. Has Sony kept its promise in rolling out jelly bean for Xperia S or it’s a crap update with no features, please drop your comments 🙂 Do let us know if you are facing any problems in this firmware ,we will try to sort it out… Those who have already updated their Xperia S and Xperia SL, do get back to us with you review on this jelly bean firmware, are you satisfied ? Great howto, but just a thing: you don’t need to have an unlocked bootloader tu flash ftf in Xperia S. You don’t even need to be root! It’s much easier than that 🙂

You can’t update OTA becuase it’s official and if you haven’t got notification on PC companion or SUS then probably no notification for OTS also.

You need to flash the firmware ftf file, for flashing you can use the 1st or 3rd ftf file on your Xperia S only.

Ftf file for Xperia SL is mentioned below them. Do not cross flash on Acro S 😛

i tried to fix the 2g connectivity as u said by repairing through pcc 3 three times but no use

    • Anurag Kumar June 2, 2013 at 12:46 pm - Reply

IT solved in my case, Now it seems that is the error within the firmware…We can’t do anything now 🙁 Sony has to roll an update for this…try manually putting APN settings for your carrier.

it not like it doesn’t works …it works but very very very slow :(…if sony doesnt come to knw that indian s are facing this problem i dnt think they gona fix it

    • Anurag Kumar June 2, 2013 at 1:06 pm - Reply

Threads regarding this is also going on Sony mobile forums and on XDA also.
many users have reported this case of slow 2g and 3g data in mobile and wi-fi issue. In Iran it is not able to connect even…People across the world are reporting this error….it may be fixed soon…But i worry sony will take atleast 2-3 months before releasing the bug update for this firmware :/

Hi dude, may i know why i can’t setup ISO for my camera photo size ? How comes i can’t choose my video recording size 720p or 1080p like ICS?

  39. zrmughal01 June 11, 2013 at 2:17 pm - Reply

if jellybean update has some issues……then there is no need to get the update.
we should wait for a bug fix update because if we use official way like spc, sus etc…..or do we use unofficial way like flash tool…….if problem is still there then it’s just waste of time and nothing.

    • Anurag Kumar June 12, 2013 at 5:13 pm - Reply

Yes the first animation on booting lags rest all fine…sometimes it takes around 6 animations to boot up…It’s so lagging and slow on our XSL.

I am planning to purchase the Xperia SL .. but in market only ICS is available.. when will be the updated SL available in market .. and generally how much time it take to get update it in market… Some features lag in ICS and some features lag in JellyBean …. Suggest me with which one i go.. ICS or Jellybean … Damn Confused .. :/

    • Anurag Kumar June 17, 2013 at 12:08 pm - Reply

In market XSL will always be available on ICS. JB updated version will not come to market, now.
Yes some features lag in JB .200 and .211 firmware like Wi-Fi connectivity issue, no 2g connectivity, error 927 on downloading apps from g play, battery draining at the rate of 2x as compared to ICS, phone heating a lot. 1080p lag in video capture, purple shade in pics taken from cam.
Well ICS was a lot stable. JB has much better UI.
You can buy ICS version from market and then get it upgrade to JB whenever it comes.

This is real bullshit from SONY, the .211 build won´t fix the 1080p lagg. I also find it lagging sometimes in 720p, battery drain a lot more compared to ICS and so on… Xperia owners all know it..

They took so long time to release JB and still it was full of bugs..

2012 flagship phone feels like 2010, OMG..
Reverting back to my custom made rom!!

AND i would really consider buying a smart(stupid)phone from SONY again!

please i need to make full formatting for my mobile sony xperia lt26ii. hpw cane make this

    • Anurag Kumar August 9, 2013 at 9:57 pm - Reply

First do “Factory Reset with Full Wipe Data” on your phone, it will make full format.

Go to Settings > Backup and Reset option > Factory data reset > Reset phone, check the option “Erase internal storage”.

P.S. before doing this do make a backup of your phone via PC Companion.

well i guess you are facing the yellowish tint issue on screen, this problem arose in early Xperia S unites of 2012…well do you see a yellowish spot on scree ? if yes, it is a screen hardware issue…Sony has confirmed this issue before also and replaced the faulty handsets…
Please try re-updating your firmware it is still there, hardware issue, go to customer care.

  53. zrmughal August 14, 2013 at 3:54 pm - Reply
